Most of our work falls between $80k and $400k. We've taken on smaller, focused engagements when the scope is genuinely tight, and larger ones for multi-quarter platform builds. The shape of the work matters more to us than the number.

Usually four to six weeks from contract. We don't keep a bench, which means our pods are always staffed — but it also means we won't promise a Monday start to make a sale. If a project genuinely can't wait, we'll tell you on the first call.

Sometimes. We've helped a handful of teams get from zero to Series A, and we've also advised seed-stage founders on what they shouldn't build with us. We're a poor fit if you need everything yesterday on a $20k budget. We're a great fit if you have one specific, hard problem and want it done right.

Rarely, and never as a primary structure. We've taken partial equity for a handful of long-term partnerships where the alignment was strong. Most of the time, we work for cash and you keep your cap table clean.

We stay on retainer for the first quarter post-launch by default — bug fixes, light feature work, on-call coverage. After that, most clients move to a smaller monthly retainer for ongoing work, or transition entirely to their internal team with documentation handoff. Both are fine.
